Exodus 4

Speaks of the story of Moses who was sent to the taskmaster of

Eygpt Pharoah to tell him LET MY PEOPLE GO!

The name of Moses means “Deliverer from water”

Moses Given Powerful Signs

4 Then Moses answered, “But behold, they will not believe me or listen to my voice, for they will say, ‘The LORD did not appear to you.’ ”

2 The LORD said to him, “What is that in your hand?” He said, i“A staff.”

3 And he said, “Throw it on the ground.” So he threw it on the ground, and it became a serpent, and Moses ran from it. 4 But the LORD said to Moses, “Put out your hand and catch it by the tail”—so he put out his hand and caught it, and it became a staff in his hand—

5 “that they may believe that the LORD, the God of their fathers, the God of Abraham, the God of Isaac, and the God of Jacob, has appeared to you.”

6 Again, the LORD said to him, “Put your hand inside your cloak.”1 And he put his hand inside his cloak, and when he took it out, behold, his hand was lleprous2 like snow. 7 Then God said, “Put your hand back inside your cloak.” So he put his hand back inside his cloak, and when he took it out, behold, it was restored like the rest of his flesh.

8 “If they will not believe you,” God said, “or listen to the first sign, they may believe the latter sign. 9 If they will not believe even these two signs or listen to your voice, you shall take some water from the Nile and pour it on the dry ground, and the water that you shall take from the Nile will become blood on the dry ground.”

10 But Moses said to the LORD, “Oh, my Lord, I am not eloquent, either in the past or since you have spoken to your servant, but oI am slow of speech and of tongue.”

11 Then the LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the LORD?

12 Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak.” 13 But he said, “Oh, my Lord, please send someone else.” 14 Then the anger of the LORD was kindled against Moses and he said, “Is there not Aaron, your brother, the Levite? I know that he can speak well. Behold, he is coming out to meet you, and when he sees you, he will be glad in his heart. 15 You shall speak to him and put the words in his mouth, and I will be with your mouth and with his mouth and will teach you both what to do. 16 tHe shall speak for you to the people, and he shall be your mouth, and you shall be as God to him. 17 And take in your hand this staff, with which you shall do the signs.”

Moses was a transitional Prophet leading the Israelites out of slavery and bondage to Freedom.

We see the Israelites complained moaned and wanted to turn back to Eygpt when the going got tough in the wilderness. This cost them another 40 years wandering aimlessly journeying in the wilderness

Just think about this. The young ones would now be middle-aged aged and the old ones perhaps didn’t get to the promised land at all..

This is no different today

It is costly to moan and groan. Be dissatisfied and want to turn back to things that God has led us away from. Father is our great deliverer .

Moses had all he needed when he was in Egypt. HE LACKED NOTHING BUT FATHER CALLED HIM FOR THE SAKE OF THE PEOPLE.

Hebrew blood and lives were crying out to him. Justice and help. May we never walk by our brother or sister in need.

But he needed support, Note He could only appoint those who were with him and followed him… and GOD.

Galatians 6:2: “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfil the law of Christ.”

Moses had support God sent Aaron and Hur to him

The prophet Jethro saw that Moses could not lead them all by himself but he needed support from those who were trusted

Exodus 17 12 When Moses’ hands grew tired, they took a stone and put it under him and he sat on it. Aaron and Hur held his hands up—one on one side, one on the other—so that his hands remained steady till sunset.

Later Joshua came to succeed him and Joshua helped Moses.

THE LORD HAS MANTLED JOSHUAS

When The body of Christ works together we receive the blessing of oil as in Psalms 133 running down Aarons’s beard.

It is imperative in this 5784 that Sucessors are given room

Joshua was given room.

Hebrews 6:10: “God is not unjust; he will not forget your work and the love you have shown him as you have helped his people and continue to help them.”

Moses needed support for he could not do this alone. But it took the right people to come alongside him.

He was loved by Pharoah’s sister and pharaoh as his own. And yet he had to go back and say what the Father wanted said Let my people go!

THE BODY OF CHRIST ARE SONS AND DAUGHTERS AND WE ARE ALSO ONES WITH A SERVANT HEART

IT IS NO LONGER SELF AND I.

Just like Aaron and Hur, we should be supporting our leaders who are mantled with a great task.

The father said many are called FEW ARE CHOSEN ARE YOU THE CHOSEN?

The harvest is plentiful but the LABORERS FEW!

Yeshua said in Mathew 7, You prophesied in my name did all these things but I never knew you.

Why?

This was about them, not God’s business, It was about self and not support with a servant’s heart God’s Plans and Purposes.

Think about these things.

We all need support and many need pharoah to let them go!

All those still stuck in Eygpt we cry LET MY PEOPLE GO!

This 5784 let us think about how many streams with God’s great fruit, where we can see many transformational and revived places and peoples.

The Lord knows best, he knew best in exodus and he knows best today

Let us walk with the Lord in season and out. Humble ourselves and prefer one another.

Show kindness and humility and the heart of a son or daughter with a servant’s heart LIKE YESHUA AND MOSES!

Give us the strength to stand and speak when you desire without fear.

For we are pilgrims here just a Moses was a pilgrim leading the Israelites to the promised land. So too do we journey to our full destination.

We are not staying here this earth shall pass away and a new heaven and new earth built.

You are coming back and Father you are calling and trusting us your remnant bride to be ready.

To stay filled with Love, Hope, faith and forgive often

Thank you we are sensitive to our fellow brothers and sisters

Yeshua needed support, we need support to bring us to those who have your heart Lord and love like you.

Lead us to those who don’t and show them how to love!

Let us pray

Father, we thank you for your angelic support in this year

Help us see with your eyes and your heart. To lay down all control manipulation self gain and fear and as you prefer others above yourself we too ask the Lord we can walk like this.

We are your SONS AND DAUGHTERS WHO SERVE IN A HEART OF HUMILITY AND SERVANT HOOD FOR YOU LORD> TO SUPPORT THOSE MANTLED IN POSITION BY YOU ALONE>

Give us your understanding that is not about us but about your Kingdom.

Lord, we desire to stay and remain in truth and be faithful until you come.

We step into that grace for one another and give room to your appointed and anointed

We recognise it is not about us but you!

Turn the hearts back to you Lord. We bring them before your everloving arms
